HDR10 has been quite a hot topic almost all the flagships supports HDR(High Dynamic Range) Samsung's Galaxy Note 8, LG's V30, iPhone 8,iPhone 8 plus and iPhone X support HDR.

HDR deepens the details of an image or a video and noticeable improvements on the basis of brightness and colour vibrance.

Apple advertised on its website that iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus supports"Dolby Vision and HDR 10 content.

By this statement, you'd think that these iPhones display HDR content but they don't.

Recording or Capturing HDR based video or an image is completely different displaying HDR based video or an image.

For displaying an HDR based image or a video its display requires some specifications where iPhone's display isn't capable of displaying such content.

For watching 4k resolution video it requires a 4k Tv or monitor.but in this case this tv doesn't support 4k resolution.so it's obvious it's going display the same thing in lower resolution.

iPhone replyed this " users of these two phones will see visual enhancements to dynamic range, contrast, and wide color gamut when playing Dolby Vision or HDR 10 content from their respective content providers, but it will not be at the full level of HDR visual fidelity as it'll be on the iPhone X, which does have an HDR screen".

Still, you can capture the moment and watch it an HDR supporting display.

iPhone X completely support HDR display and equipped with OLED screen whereas iPhone 8 and iPhone 8plus are equipped with widescreen LCD screens.

Due to this OLED screen, iPhone X is more durable than its previous models and it consumes less battery compared to LCD screens.
